For People Who Love To Garden

The Toolshed

Welcome to the Gardener's Path Toolshed. We are starting to have some fun tools for you to use and enjoy. This month's new entry: Gardener's Path own, home grown Plant Computer. Just type in your search criteria including flower color, season of bloom, height, sun, and other adjectives, and The Plant Computer will produce a list of plants that might fit the bill. Great for planning or to find just the right plant for a hard to fill spot.

The Garden Planner

Our very own Garden Planner is just like drawing a garden with graph paper and pencil, except it's on the web.

Click the Layouts button to see different garden shapes. Then click the Pallette to choose plants for your garden, and drag new plants wherever you want them. If you don't like something, you can move it or drag it to the Compost Heap.

While not exactly botanically-correct, you can use the Garden Planner to experiment with colors, arrangements, layouts, and of course, to have fun. You'll need Flash 4 to enjoy it so be sure to get the free Flash 4 plug-in.

What Zone Are You In?
Check your hardiness zone with our handy USDA Zone Map. Good for Alaska and Hawaii too.
