For People Who Love To Garden

Flax
  Linum
Back to Index

The delicate flowers of the flax, suspended on thin, nodding stems, are a delight of the June garden. Although it comes in yellow and white as well, the blue is the most striking.

Unfussy about soil, all flax requires for healthy growth is a plenty of sunshine. I have seen them growing literally in pavement, with no apparent ill effects. Flax is also quite nice in the midst of a mixed border.
