Gardening tips and gardening online help.
Such a spring it's been—pretty but unpredictable. First it's warm, then it's cold. Now you have snow, the next week it's hot and humid with violent thunderstorms. All in the last 30 days! Sheesh. For more on our various gardening trials and weather calamities, check out this week's Garden Diary.
New in our Organic Gardening section: Luring Ladybugs Into Your Garden with a wealth of information on this beneficial insect, including how to get them, what they eat, and which ones to get. If aphids are a problem for you, this article is a must read.
Garden fences and dog fences.
As alluded to above, we have a new feature on Gardener's Path which we hope you will enjoy. Because we lack imagination right now, the name we have selected for the new feature is the Garden Diary. This will feature new posts as often as I think to enter them, which is near daily at this point. Tune in for the trials and travails of an ordinary gardener as she makes her way through the gardening season.
The Modern Herbalist is back with a timely new article entitled Fun With Dandelions, full of easy, healthy recipes using America's least favorite plant. And finally, Harry Coverts of Black Thumb Gardening has a new installment in his series of gardening articles for the timid: Four Year Basil and Other Oddities. Enjoy!
You'll find assorted fun gardening gizmos in the Toolshed including our Tic Tac Grow game, good for a chuckle. We've loaded a few more plants in the Plant Guide and the Plant Computer is up so you can search for plants by useful criteria such as color, height, season of bloom, and light requirements.
