Where To Buy Seeds

Late winter is the time to start thinking about seeds for next summer's garden. Most seeds need to be started in the early Spring, some as early as February, so it pays to plan ahead.

If you're lucky enough to have a coop or alternative grocery store to shop in, you will often find seeds for sale in the grocery section. But that's catch as catch can. the best way to get the seeds you want is to order them from a reputable mail order house.

The first thing you'll want to do is go to their web site and order the catalog. That way you'll have full color photos and complete descriptions to guide your search for just the right columbine, or coleus, or calamint.

To make it easier for you, we've provided to names and links to some seed houses we like.
